Dogs Symptoms

I know, iknow, Everyone wants a dog but heres another story about someone wanting a dog. I want one and wanted to know what the average price for a girl dog is, for a boy dog is, for a girl puppy, and a boy puppy. But my dad will not let me have a dog because we live in Hawaii and we may move. But he and my mom both had dogs when they were a kid and they always told me one day I could have a dog how can I convince them that now or soon is the time. What I found out was – How old are you? The prices are not based on gender, rather on breed and the reputation of the breeder. A responsible breeder vs. An idiot just trying to make some quick cash. I would suggest you first go to a local shelter or dog rescue. They are free, they are vaccinated, fixed. Rescue groups will often help you with anything you need before and after you adopt the dog, they will make sure you and the dog are a good match. It's like getting a free trainer.

I love this compilation of funny dog moments. I think that just about ever one who has a dog has seen that animal have a funny moment, too bad all of us cannot fun videos on 24 hours a day. icon smile Dogs Symptoms Also, check out my friends new law site if you get a moment. You will probably get rather a lot of silly people telling you to buy a dog, spoil it and not exercise it (potty american women of a certain age) Don't listen to them and listen to your parents. If you’ve to move and rehouse your dog, it will be horrible for everyone, most of all the dog. Also it will put pressure on a charity to rehouse it. Think about it, I know you want a dog now, but it will make sense to wait.

  • Terry Eaddy says:

You say you live in Hawaii and may be moving sometime in the near future. That might be why your father isn't allowing you to get a dog at this time. If you're moving to the Mainland, it does cost money to ship a dog and he realizes it. I'd say just wait until you're settled in your new location. I'm sure he'll change his mind.

Best place is a shelter you will save a life for a fraction of the price.

With my case, we had been doing research on dogs for a whole 2 years before deciding we will get one and then we decided to wait to this July to actually adopt due to going to Wisconsin in June for a peace core reunion. (We didn't want to get a rescue dog then put her back in a kennel for two weeks) Personally, I am finding it the hardest thing to stay put and not be adopting now- but I feel that once we stay put until our designated timeline for adoption, I feel we will have the most perfect dog. I hope that you will do the same thing. Especially getting a GREAT RESCUE DOG (there are purebreds in rescue places- and mixes are just as great) you don't want to buy him, have him get used to his home, and then move. It would be like adopting him another time. Good luck- and please consider getting a rescue dog- they may take some time to get used to their new home but they are really worth it!

If you want a purebred they depend on the age, how good they are, and who raised them. If you get a really good dog they can be a thousand dollars or more. If you get a purebred from an average dog owner from a litter of puppies they would probably be about 200 dollars. Girls are usually more expensive than boys. Try to just get a mutt from someone who is having puppies because they don't get the preoblems that purebreds get. They can look really funny and are sooo cute. They hyave really great personalities too. I love my dog. She is a golden retriever malemute mix. She looks like a white malemute with blue eyes and a curly tail.

i dont know really how much they cost. The way you can convince your parents is to say mom im your age: how old you are and I think im ready for a dog if they say no. Tell them were moving right . Then say you promised, though hope I helped .

  • Paulina Nguyen says:

it all depends on what breed you want, where you get the dog and if the dog comes in different sizes. for example my boyfriend and I recently bought a teacup yorkie from a breeder from KY that drove all the way to IL. our dog was the most expensive boy for 800 since he was a teacup and smaller than the rest of his siblings. his brother was going for 700 and 2 of his sisters were going for 800-900. I was not sure how much her standard yorkies were because she was selling them together cuz their “twins” and need to be together. her toy yorkies girls were700-800 and the boys were 500-600. it also depends on if the puppy has a champion or a best of show dog in its bloodline which will make the dog cost a little more.
don't trust pet stores all the time because they can rip you off. I learned the hard way. I bought my silky terrier for 1400 at a local pet store thinking it was a great deal because he has a best of show in his family, he came microchipped, free first vet visit at a specific vet by the store, 75% the nuetering/spaying and a welcome home kit of a crate, 3 toys, a water bottle, food aid and water and food bowl. TOTAL RIP OFF I paid for mainly the welcome home kit instead of the dog and I didn't really need the kit.
so watch out where you buy from and make sure you do some research on the type of dog you want. after that call some breeders by you and see if you can arrange an appointment with you, your parents, and the breeder about prices and their dogs.

if youre looking for a cheaper option, go to a shelter. not all shelters are free though. make sure you go to a shelter where you can take some time and look at the dogs and possible play with them for a bit. keep in mind the environment of the shelter make sure they're santary for a pet and look like they are taken care for other wise they're not doing their job and the dog isn't getting what they need to be release.
    good luck!

It depends what type of dog you are wanting and your families ability to take care of it and also how responsible you are.

    see the post by RoVale

After you move, realize that pets don't only share your room, they share the WHOLE house, or apartment.
Also realize that a pet requires minimum of 10 years of home and love.
They have to be fed, loved, played with, cleaned up after.
A dog is like a 3 year old, they need constant care, fun, and supervision. By your post, I assume you are in school? do your parents work? Are they willing and able to care for your dog. . . they don't just go to sleep while you are in class, they still need to play, eat, go to the bathroom, etc. –and who is going to pay for the vet bills, food? If you can't, then they have to pay—so do a lot of extra chores. . . for a few (like 3-6)months, get really good grades

Show them you are ready by doing extra chores-before they ask-volunteer, keeping your room really neat-all the time, on top of everything else.
While you are doing everything mentioned above, research breeds of dogs you can handle, (by yourself), no help from Mom and Dad. drop hints once every few weeks.
after 6 months- start looking on
