Both my dogs have kennel cough not picked up by being in kennels. Does any one know of a natural remedies that can help them. They have been to vets & are on antibiotics. What cough medicines can be given to dogs? Thanks for your help. After speaking to others on the web, I found the answer. Honey and lemon glucose syrups can be given to ease the cough , I did this for my 5 week old rottie who had got kennel cough. as it contains vitamin c and honey. got mine from tesco's cost 98p i know how distressing it can be from my own experience , best of luck

I have a boxer who is 14 wks. Old. He developed kennel cough from a dog next door about 4 wks. Ago. I have taken him to the vet and he put him on antibiotics and cough medicine. He has finished the medicine but he continues to cough and he coughs up foamy mucous. Is it normal for kennel cough to last this long? Are there any home remedies that can help it. Well, I have your answer. 4 weeks is a little long. I would definitely take him in again for safety reasons and as a precaution. We had a dog with kennel cough and it only lasted about two weeks. I would be careful about any home remedies because overall your vet is going to know the seriousness of the situation and be able to tell you the best thing for him at this particular time. Good luck I am sorry he is sick. I had a boxer and they are such loveable dogs I hope he gets well soon.

My cat has been having diarrhea on and off for a couple weeks, she is still making it to the litter box but when I clean it out it's apparent she's having issues. Anything I can do to help her out? I do not feed her table food or any tuna or fish or milk. She's been on the same diet for months and is an indoor cat. She's never been out of my apartment in the four months I've had her. She is 8 years old and about 2 lbs overweight but otherwise healthy. Basically… Try a bland diet for a couple of days, as an example chicken and rice, or white fish. (You should also check she is up to date with her worming program. ) Then gradually wean her back onto her normal food, if this doesn't help you may need to notice a vet for antibiotics.
